| “ | I speak the day's true Marsh. Vineland's destroyed. | „ |
| —Gulo to John Marshall |
Gulo is a minor character featured in RAGE 2.
Biography
Background
Very little is known of Gulo's personal life. She displays a clear and intense addiction to alcohol, or "swill" as she calls it, even taking it as payment for her information gathering missions. She is a resident of Gunbarrel and works for John Marshall, gathering information.
Gulo can sometimes be found in the Dud Primer bar, drinking or sitting at the tables. If approached after completing the Blackout mission for John Marshall, Gulo will thank Walker for confirming her story about Vineland's destruction. If the player remains, Gulo will divulge some of her history, explaining that she was orphaned on the street at a very young age, eating out of the gutters, already hooked on swill, and implies that she performed illicit favors in return for alcohol as payment. Gulo further explains that John Marshall found her as a child and took her in, helping her become a functional member of the settlement, allowing her to stay at the Dud Primer bar, and offering her a job as an information trader. She says Marshall keeps her well supplied with high quality alcohol in return for her services, and happily describes it as a "good life" before wishing Walker well and wondering if their paths may cross again some day.
Events of RAGE 2
In 2165, Gulo is a resident of Gunbarrel and earns a living by scouting locations and gathering information for John Marshall, the owner of the Dud Primer bar and the former leader of the Resistance during the Authority Wars. When Walker first arrives in town, he finds Gulo attempting to inform an unbelieving Marshall of the destruction of Vineland, desperate for the alcohol he offers as payment. Walker confirms Gulo's story, and Marshall gives her a drink, with which she happily absconds.
Later, Marshall informs Walker that Gulo has gone missing while on a reconnaissance mission, and asks Walker to search for her. Walker later finds her corpse at Razorneck Roost, where she had been held captive by the Immortal Shrouded. The bandits restrained her against a rack before she was disembowled. Walker can find Gulo's Last Recording nearby her corpse.
